If you were a Rubix cube what would each colour represent? Mike, the groom from this Maple Grove wedding, was compared to a Rubix cube in a speech made by one of his groomsmen. It turned out to be the perfect analogy to describe ‘the many sides of Mike.’ White represented his loyalty, red was his drive and determination, etc. The Rubix cube was finished off with the colour pink to represent Mike’s stunning bride Amanda. And similar to Mike’s many sides, in Amanda’s dad’s speech he proudly spoke of Amanda’s go-getter attitude and her ever ongoing list of accomplishments.

I love the speeches at weddings. As I’m clicking away on my shutter and witnessing everything through a viewfinder, the speeches are so much more than background noise. It’s a real privilege to hear heartfelt stories and humour about my brides and grooms that would have otherwise taken years of friendship to know.
