The longest and most glorious walk down and up the aisle, portraits in a LOTR setting (as the bride likes to say – which stands for Lord of the Rings for those of you who- like myself- didn’t know), broken down party buses, a cheeky speech from a 7 year old, and soul train dancing the night away. Those are just a few of the highlights when I think back to Katherine and Tom’s beautiful UBC botanical garden wedding.
When I initially sat down with Katherine in Vancouver to talk about wedding photography it all felt very serendipitous. Unbeknownst to us both, we had actually crossed paths a few times. She felt familiar to me and it turned out we were in the same Environmental Studies class at UVic, we both grew up in Calgary, and I photographed a wedding that both her and Tom were in the bridal party of last year.
I’m so glad the universe pulled us together like that because I’m happy to say through getting to know Katherine and Tom I have made two new friends.
