Autumn and Hazen’s Sea Breeze Lodge wedding had a little magical something in the air, and I think that magic was the fact that they had already been together for over 9 years when they decided to marry one another.
Everyone attending this wedding already had so much love, not only for Autumn and Hazen as individuals, but for them together. Everyone already had a chance to get to know them as a couple- as they are together. When a couple has been together for so long, and especially together through their twenties where relationship survival rates are low ;), a lot of who they are is because of the other person.
So their wedding wasn’t necessarily about bringing two families together, because that had already happened- everyone was already so beautifully comfortable with one another. Autumn’s sister Morgan, for example, was only 16 when Hazen and Autumn started dating, so she spent her late teens- some very formative years, with Hazen as a brother. I watched Morgan go over to Autumn and Hazen at dinner and stick her head right in between them and Hazen planted a big kiss on his sister-in-law’s cheek. It just spoke volumes to me how much their families have already been integrated.
Autumn and Hazen truly are two pieces of the same puzzle, two peas in a pod. It has been such a treat getting to know them, through their romantic Whistler Engagement Session last winter, a couple of dinner dates to check in on wedding progress, and a whole lot of texting, I’m so happy to have made new friends in them.
I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two 🙂 Congratulations!
