It poured rain all morning. But that didn’t phase Claire, nor Brendan, for their Bodega Ridge Galiano Island Wedding. It was actually kind of a soothing sound to listen to the raindrops against the window panes as everyone was calmly getting ready for the big day. It felt metaphorical in a way too… like a cleansing- because minutes before Claire was to walk down the aisle the skies completely opened and the sun beamed down on everyone for the ceremony.
Even if it hadn’t stopped raining though, Claire and Brendan would’ve taken it all in stride. And that attitude/mentality is incredibly important in making your wedding day, not to mention your life, be what you want it to be. There’s no value in trying to control the uncontrollable, stressing over matters that you can’t change. Claire and Brendan know this, and that’s why I loved photographing their Bodega Ridge Galiano Island Wedding so much- because of them two. Their calm and accepting energy is exactly the kind of energy I aim to surround myself with in my own life. These are two seriously exemplary humans; they treat everyone around them with such love and kindness. I felt very lucky to be the one to document such a milestone in their life and relationship. Thank you so much Claire and Brendan.
Bodega Ridge is also a place I love going back to. Everything about this wedding venue is set up for success; the location and views, the rustic wood cabins, the staff who are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food! I drool just thinking about the meals I’ve had there. I’ve photographed a few other weddings there: Marlo & Sean’s, and Alex & Paul’s.
I still have a few openings left for 2019 so get in touch now about your wedding photography 🙂
