Hi, I'm Ashlene.

I'm honoured you're here.

I always find these About pages awkward. How do I sum myself up in a few sentences? I like to meet people and get to know them through honest conversation, so the first thing I'll put out there is: let's meet for a coffee and chat!

In the meantime, here's a few things about me:

I love the people in my life so much. My partner, friends and family ARE my life. I cherish those relationships with every bone in my body. And when I'm photographing you and your loved ones I seek out those same relationships among you and your people to capture those same sparks of love.

My name is a Gaelic name, and it means 'a dream', which I find very fitting because my partner is always telling me I'm the dreamer in the relationship. He balances us with his more logical and practical approach.

I love sleeping in my tent! There's something beautifully child like about crawling into my tent and tucking myself in my sleeping bag. It makes me giddy.

Going camping, hiking, and exploring places that are still relatively untouched by humans is my favourite way to spend a few days off. And at the same time, I love to travel. Experiencing new cultures and cuisine will always be a priority in my life.

Sunsets!!! Seriously, I can't get enough. A colourful light show provided by the sun every single night makes me shiver with excitement.

One of my favourite passtimes is bird watching. I'm not a die-hard bird watcher like Owen Wilson was in the movie 'The Big Year' (haha), but I have a pair of pretty awesome binoculars and thoroughly enjoy looking for birds.

I take my job seriously, but I don't take life too seriously. I'm young at heart, full of energy, and always smiling. I believe what you put out, you get back.

I'm easy going, and don't sweat the small stuff.
